Ian Fleck was brought up on a farm in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. After leaving school he started to work in a large engineering factory with the intention of becoming a draftsman, however after three years he felt God’s call to Christian work. He studied for three years to enter Theological College. After graduation he married his wife Sandra and travelled to Nigeria to work with Mission Africa (Qua Iboe Mission) to teach at Samuel Bill Theological College (SBTC) Abak, Akwa Ibom State.
Later he moved to Peter Achimugu College of Theology (PACT), Ankpa, Kogi State, where he was appointed Principal. He worked for ten years with the Mission, after which Ian and his wife and two children returned to Northern Ireland.
Ian has obtained the degrees of Bachelor of Theology (BTh), Master of Divinity (MDiv) with distinction and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
He is Minister Emeritus of two Presbyterian Churches in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland after ministering there for 21 years.
Ian and Sandra were involved in the Christian Endeavour organisation for many years and Ian had been local Union President and a past President of the Irish Christian Endeavour Union. He has written several articles for magazines and is the author of four books to date.
